Dr Augustino Clark

Ophthalmologist

Originally from Tasmania, Dr Clark has lived in Lennox Head since 2011. He completed his undergraduate medical degree with honours at The University of Tasmania in 1999. His resident medical years were spent in Far North Queensland and Sydney.

Dr Clark commenced his ophthalmology training in 2005 in New Zealand, finishing in 2008. He also completed a Masters of Ophthalmology, awarded with distinction, during his fellowship years. He subsequently undertook 2 years of sub-specialty fellowship training in medical and surgical retina at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane and the Ospedale Malpighi in Bologna, Italy.

As a consultant ophthalmologist, Dr Clark has a public hospital appointment at the Lismore Base Hospital. He is actively involved in supervision and training of eye registrars from the Sydney Eye Hospital who spend time training in Lismore. He also operates at St Vincent’s Hospital in Lismore and the Ballina Day Surgery in Ballina, where he offers private inpatient (No Gap) surgery.

When not working in ophthalmology, he is a keen surfer and skier and enjoys travelling with his family.
